The country-pop sound established in their eponymous debut is a mainstay for this album as well, and even adds a little more southern flavor.

With an opening shot that hits the sonic pinnacle, this collection of spiritual Brit pop/rock is heavily influenced by Keane, Travis, Coldplay, and U2.
NICOLE Kidman is allegedly furious that rumors she was suffering from breast cancer started to circulate after medical records were apparently leaked from American hospital earlier this year.
KIDMAN has made a statement that she went into hospital in January for a routine checkup. Doctors then discovered an area they thought needed further testing. The results of those tests were negative, however, this still didn't stop the rumor mill from turning.
EVER savvy to the ways of the media, however, Kidman also used her statement denying the breast cancer rumors to encourage women to have regular mammograms and checkups.
JUST when you thought that the world had heard enough of Janet Jackson and Boobgate or the Superboob (or whatever else it might be called this week), comes the news that it was actually an Aussie who sold Jackson the costume that shocked more than 100 million Americans.
FORMER Sydneysider, Sam Hill, manager of the New York fetish store DeMask, said that Jackson's bustier must have been altered after it was bought to enable her breast to have been so easily exposed.
"THE breast cups are fixed and riveted and everything we make is of real solid construction," she told The Sunday Mail. "Even if it had been a 'wardrobe malfunction' on our part, it wouldn't have happened in such a concise and convenient manner."
THE Australian production of The Full Monty, starring Paul Mercurio (best known for his role in Strictly Ballroom), has closed after only three weeks with its producers unable to explain why the show couldn't attract a decent audience. The Melbourne season will now end on February 29, one week earlier than scheduled. The Sydney season, scheduled to start on March 18, has also been cancelled.
"WE have produced a first class contemporary musical, assembled Broadway's premiere creative team and have a brilliant Australian cast. But with our combined experience we are at a loss to explain why audiences have not embraced this show in the numbers it deserves or that we had expected," said producers IMG and David Atkins Enterprises in a joint statement.
THEY'RE at a loss? Maybe it was the decision to set the musical in the United States and have the actors speaking in rather dodgy American accents, rather than sticking with the decaying British town which appealed to fans of the movie. When you're onto a good thing... stick to it. On a related note, if anyone can tell us why they're making a US version of The Office we'd be grateful. Moving right along...
AUSTRALIA is about to cop one of the biggest TV advertisements ever, with Britney Spears, Pink, Beyonce Knowles and Enrique Iglesias starring in a three-minute Pepsi advertisement.
ACCORDING to reports, Spears, Knowles and Pink take up weapons and sexy armor to play gladiators while Iglesias watches on in a portrayal of an "evil Roman emperor." Apparantly while all this is going on, the girls sing Queen's "We Will Rock You."
RED-BLOODED males (and maybe even a few ladies) are already preparing videotapes across the country...
MUSIC Industry Privacy Investigations (MIPI) have raided the Australian premises of Kazaa's parent company, Sharman Networks, and four other Internet businesses, including the offices of Telstra, the nation's main telecommunications company.
MIPI is a subsidiary of the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA). "ARIA supports the industry's move to stop the illegal behaviour of file sharing networks," Steven Peach, ARIA's CEO, told The Register. "The 'free ride' simply can't continue indefinitely at the expense of the owners and creators of the music."
FINALLY this week, Australia's number one singer, Delta Goodrem, has been asked by the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) to sing at the Team Reception in Athens, two days before the Opening Ceremony on August 13.
THE AOC has invited Goodrem because, it said, she is the "perfect fit" for a young team.
"THERE'S no alcohol and the athletes are in bed by 10pm, but they appreciate that Australia's top entertainers make an effort to support them at the games and make their Olympic experience so enjoyable and something to remember," an AOC spokesperson was reported as telling The Sunday Telegraph.
